Canadian Mining's B.C. Zeolite to be Tested in the Medical Marijuana Growing Process
CNG – TSX.V
VANCOUVER, April 16, 2014 /CNW/ - Canadian Mining Company Inc. (the "Company") (CNG TSX.V) is pleased to announce it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Thelon Capital Ltd. (THC-TSX.V) to test the Company's zeolite in the growing of Medical Marijuana. Under the terms of the memorandum, Thelon will have an option to earn up to a 50% interest in the Company's Sun Group Zeolite Project near Princeton, B.C.
Mr. Scott Walters, President of Thelon Capital states, "Zeolites, as a Green Growth Environment Input, have a unique framework with a network of pores giving it a large surface area for trapping and exchanging valuable nutrients. Our team's strong geological background and our arrangement with Canadian Mining can help lead us in the co-development of healthier nutrient inputs and conditioners for all hydroponic, aquaponic, and soil crops including marijuana."
Zeolite is the ultimate fertilizer manager. In simple terms, zeolite is particularly valuable in holding and slowly releasing valuable nutrients to plants. As a result, it promotes better plant growth by improving the value of fertilizers. Crops grown in soil with zeolite have faster growth rates and higher yields. The more efficient use of minerals already in soil also means lower fertilizer and water requirements which in turn reduces the amounts of fertilizers leaching into ground water.
Canadian Mining has a competitive advantage in the world of zeolites given our product has been tested, applied and meets the standards of specific markets. We are currently working on certifying, creating patents and expanding our markets and are pleased to be working with Thelon.
Canadian Mining Company Inc. is a Vancouver based company involved in the exploration, development and production of the industrial mineral, zeolite. The Company is a producer of natural zeolite from several of its deposits in British Columbia, Canada.
