VANCOUVER, May 22, 2012 /CNW/ - Canadian Mining Company Inc. (TSX.V: CNG), President and CEO, Ray Paquette is pleased to report that large local markets have immediate use for Canadian Mining's Sun Group zeolite. These markets include British Columbia orchards, vineyards and agricultural applications. Zeolite has many uses including: organic composting, animal and bio-solid waste treatment, soil remediation, water purification and soil amendment. The Company's plan is to create cash-flow by supplying the significant local demand while continuing to source National and International markets.
CEO Ray Paquette and CFO Mark Groenewald were on site at the Sun Group Zeolite Project on May 17 and 18 to meet with an organic grower to co-ordinate a sample shipment of zeolite for use in their orchards. The Company's qualified person was also on site to assist the reclamation team and to ensure the site is ready for drilling. It was determined that Canadian Mining will now move forward with the application for permitting for the bulk sample. Bulk sampling is the removing of large mineralized material selected to be representative of the potential ore body.
Many people are anti-mining due to environmental concerns. However, many of these same people endorse the mining of zeolites due to their enormous environmental benefits. In addition, the Sun Group Zeolite Project will be mined in an open-pit method similar to sand and gravel quarries which limit negative effects to the environment.
