VANCOUVER, June 11, 2012 /CNW/ - Canadian Mining Company Inc. (TSX.V: CNG) Canadian Mining's Sun Group Zeolite Project with a historic inferred resource of 46,600,000 tonnes of quality zeolite gives the Company a long-term zeolite resource to supply the on-going and increasing demands of the market.
President and CEO, Ray Paquette is pleased to report that over the last few months he has received numerous calls regarding the Company's Sun Group Zeolite availability and requests for samples.
The Company has had requests from various organizations including the National Research Council of Canada who will be testing the Sun Group zeolite for use in an emerging technology in the application in concrete infrastructure.
Interest has also been expressed by an Alberta based company, providing operational and management services to municipal, industrial, and commercial water and wastewater customers in Southern Alberta. Samples have been forwarded for testing.
In addition, the Company has received inquiries from Ontario, the Okanagan and the Cowichan Valley, BC for availability for use in organic orchards, odor control applications and bio-solid waste composting. This is an ever-increasing, on-going market requiring tens of thousands of tonnes of zeolite per year in our immediate shipping area.
As previously reported, several Japanese companies have expressed interest in the Sun Group zeolite. Samples were forwarded to one potential customer who tested the samples and reported tests exceeded expectations. The demand for zeolite is increasing world-wide due to its environmentally friendly qualities and its multitude of uses.
Canadian Mining's Qualified Person is currently completing the application to move forward with the first 10,000 tonne bulk sample permit on the Sun Group Zeolite Project, which will provide the Company with zeolite inventory for delivery.
