Canadian Paralympic Committee Statement on Todd Nicholson's appointment to Chair of Own the Podium Français
OTTAWA, Aug. 21, 2018 /CNW/ - Own the Podium has announced that five-time Paralympian Todd Nicholson has been named the organization's Chair of the Board of Directors.
Nicholson most recently served as Chef de Mission for the Canadian Paralympic Team at the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games, where Canada won a record 28 medals. A former captain of Canada's Para ice hockey team, he is a three-time Paralympic medallist including gold at Torino 2006.
He has also served as Chairman of the International Paralympic Committee Athletes' Council and as the IPC Athlete Representative to the International Olympic Committee. He has been a Director on the Own the Podium Board since 2015.
