Canadian Public Relations Society Expert Centre Provides a Better Way to Showcase Communications Executives
The largest association of PR professionals in Canada aims to increase engagement with media and conference organizers through the launch of its new online Expert Centre.
TORONTO, March 4, 2014 /CNW/ - Event professionals and reporters searching for top communications experts in Canada to be speakers or to contribute comments on current events now have quick online access to a new expert centre launched by the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS).
The Canadian Public Relations Society Expert Centre currently provides users an entrée to many of its experts who are members of the CPRS College of Fellows. This online site will feature detailed profiles of select experts searchable across a range of information categories such as key topics, industry experience, and multimedia assets.
"Public relations experts make a positive contribution to the profession, our employers and to the communities we serve," said Karen Dalton APR, CAE, Executive Director of the Canadian Public Relations Society. "Our Expert Centre will enable the CPRS to better connect these professionals to a range of audiences to more effectively advocate for the profession and our professional APR designation.
As a comprehensive online resource, the CPRS Expert Centre will provide event organizers and corporate organizations with access to notable educators, researchers, authors and executives in Public Relations and Communications Management. The site will be expanded to include additional members of CPRS throughout 2014.
CPRS has partnered with ExpertFile to provide software that provides members with the unique ability to maintain engaging expert profiles which will be published dynamically to the association website. "ExpertFile is a very robust platform for organizations looking to better promote their thought leaders," said Dalton.
"We're pleased to have this opportunity to help the CPRS create a more discoverable and engaging online presence for their members across the country," said Peter Evans, CEO of ExpertFile.
