60 MusiCounts Band Aid grants confirmed for 2009-2010

TORONTO , Oct. 1 /CNW/ - MusiCounts, Canada's music education charity associated with CARAS, announced today that 60 Band Aid grants will be given out in 2009/2010.

MusiCounts provides opportunity and access for Canadian students of all ages and backgrounds to comprehensive music programs through their schools. Research proves that children's music education aids their cognitive development, creativity, as well as their overall attitude toward their studies. The demand for support of music programs is ever more apparent and this year is no exception.
