Canadian Tire donates $50,000 to help victims of Hurricane Igor
TORONTO, Sept. 30 /CNW/ - Canadian Tire and Associate Dealers donated $50,000 to the Help for Home Radiothon organized by VOCM Cares which is raising funds to help the victims of Hurricane Igor in Newfoundland and Labrador.
When Dealers of the Canadian Tire stores in the province heard about the radiothon, they immediately stepped up to donate $25,000, and Canadian Tire Jumpstart ® matched their donation with another $25,000.
"Canadian Tire is deeply committed to communities where we live, work and serve and, in their hour of need, this donation is our small way of helping local residents who have been affected by the hurricane," said Mike Arnett, President, Canadian Tire Retail.
