Canadian Tire's Duncan Fulton Named 'Marketer of the Year' by the Canadian Marketing Association Français
TORONTO, Nov. 30, 2015 /CNW/ - Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited (TSX:CTC, TSX:CTC.a) ("CTC") is proud to announce that Duncan Fulton, Senior Vice President at CTC and Chief Marketing Officer at FGL Sports & Mark's, has been named Canada's 2015 Marketer of the Year by the Canadian Marketing Association (CMA).
Fulton has been integral to the company's focus on building its brand and establishing itself as the most innovative retailer in the world.

Fulton has led the company's strategy for the last six years to tie its brand to sports and Canada's communities through a series of innovative sponsorship agreements, experiential events and integrated marketing and communication campaigns. Fulton led a talented group of marketers in the rebranding exercise of Sport Chek after Canadian Tire acquired the Forzani Group in 2011, leading to a Cannes Lion award for the 'Your Better Starts Here' campaign in 2013. Fulton was also instrumental in working with Facebook and Google to shift the company's historical print 'flyer' budget online, while still achieving double-digit sales increases. Successfully shifting the company's print budget to digital also won the company a prestigious Facebook Studio Award.
"It has been incredible to watch Duncan Fulton rise to the top of Canada's marketing community over the last five years," said CMA President and CEO John Gustavson. The CMA Marketer of the Year Award is given to the individual who has continually displayed outstanding marketing acumen and leadership. This award may represent either a body of work over several years or an extraordinary achievement within the past year that has forwarded the cause of marketing in Canada, and perhaps beyond Canada's borders.
The most recent recipients of the CMA Marketer of the Year Award were: Dominic Mercuri, EVP and Chief Marketing Officer of TD Banks (2014); Dani Reiss, President and CEO of Canada Goose (2013); and Robert Deluce, President and CEO of Porter Airlines (2012).
