Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers' Association Statement on Canada-U.S. NAFTA Announcement
TORONTO, Aug. 31, 2018 /CNW/ - Mark Nantais, President of the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers Association, issued the following statement on today's developments relating to the Canada – U.S. discussion respecting NAFTA:
"The progress made by the U.S., Mexico and Canada in these negotiations will ensure the automotive industry remains competitive on a North American basis. We understand that negotiations between Canada and the USTR will resume Wednesday next and we continue to support the government in seeking a positive modernized NAFTA agreement."
