Canadian Videogame Awards Announce 2010 Finalists
Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed II Leads with Seven Nominations
VANCOUVER, April 15 /CNW/ - The finalists in eleven categories were announced today for the upcoming Canadian Videogame Awards, which will be held in Vancouver on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
"The lineup of finalists is a stunning collection of global blockbusters," said Victor Lucas, host of Electric Playground and one of the award show's founders. "These are among the biggest games in the world and they represent the best in this country's innovation and creativity."
Members of the public can get in the game and cast their vote for Canadian Game of the Year at www.canadianvideogameawards.com.
The Canadian Video Game Awards (CVAs) will be held just prior to the second annual Game Developers Conference (GDC Canada) in Vancouver and will feature musical entertainment by the internationally renowned Video Games Live! Tickets start at $22 and are on sale now at the event web site.
The CVAs will be broadcast across the country on G4 Canada through the Rogers Network, and are sponsored by G4, XBOX 360, Sony PlayStation, The Georgia Straight and the Canadian Studios of Electronic Arts.
