Canadian Wind Energy Association (CanWEA) and Deutsche Messe Announce Long-Term Partnership to grow CanWEA's Annual Conference and Exhibition Français
OTTAWA, Dec. 5, 2013 /CNW/ - The Canadian Wind Energy Association (CanWEA) and Deutsche Messe announced today a long-term partnership to enhance and expand CanWEA's Annual Conference and Exhibition. Starting with CanWEA 2014 in Montreal, CanWEA and Deutsche Messe's North American subsidiary, Hannover Fairs USA (HFUSA), will jointly work to organize and operate the event.
"Deutsche Messe has a phenomenal track record over many years in producing conferences and exhibitions on wind energy and related themes," said Robert Hornung, President of CanWEA. "Partnering with such a globally respected trade event management organization allows CanWEA to enhance the scope of our conference programming, the diversity of our conference exhibitors and delegates, and increase our reach internationally."
HFUSA President and CEO Larry Turner said that Deutsche Messe's partnership with CanWEA represents a further investment in HANNOVER MESSE's growing global energy event platform, as well as an important strategic business initiative. "CanWEA's strong reputation and wind energy expertise in the Canadian market is a tremendous addition to our North American industrial trade events and another opportunity to leverage HANNOVER MESSE's extensive global network," he said.
The new partnership brings together two organizations with complementary sets of skills and experience for the benefit of CanWEA members and all stakeholders with an interest in the wind energy industry in Canada.
Next year marks the 30th anniversary of the CanWEA Annual Conference and Exhibition, which will be held October 27-29, 2014, at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal in Montréal, Québec. This premier event will bring together almost 2,000 delegates and more than 150 exhibiting companies from around the globe to discuss opportunities in Canada's emerging wind energy industry. The exhibition provides an exclusive opportunity to network with leading industry decision makers and to generate high quality business leads.
