Canadian Women in Public Relations Announces Media and Public Relations Networking Event in Calgary
Event to be held September 8, 2016 at the Bank and Baron Pub in Calgary, AB, Canada
CALGARY, July 18, 2016 /CNW/ - The Organization of Canadian Women in Public Relations (CWPR), a new national organization, is hosting a networking reception on September 8, 2016 at the Bank and Baron Pub in Calgary, Alberta.
Following the success of the official launch reception in Vancouver, British Columbia, titled "What's Next for Women in PR," CWPR is hosting events and programs across Canada.
Moderated by Kristen Rehn Adema, Senior Communications Officer at CBC Radio-Canada, the Calgary event will bring together media and public relations professionals to share ideas, contacts and experiences, and to advocate for major issues directly affecting women working in the PR industry today. "I'm thrilled that CWPR is coming to Calgary and honoured to be a part of this important event that celebrates and unites the enterprising, innovative and change-making women of our city."
Talia Beckett Davis, Chairwoman and President at CWPR, will outline the organization's commitment to provide a network for women to thrive earlier in their careers and to strengthen the capabilities of established leaders in the PR industry.
