Speakers Include: Lyndi Barrett, Editor at Style Calling; Noa Nichol, Editor In Chief at Vita Daily and Vita Magazine; Olivia Lovenmark, Director of Marketing at Finhaven and Wendy Hartley, Principal at Hartley PR.
Finding your voice and personality online is essential to stand out in the industry and build a social media following. Lyndi Barrett, Editor of Style Calling and fashion marketing expert, will be sharing her expertise in public relations, blogging and content creation, along with tips on how you can stay true to your personal brand.
Noa Nichol, Editor In Chief at Vita Daily and Vita Magazine (formerly Vitamin Daily), will be talking about her personal re-branding journey that went along with her decision to take over ownership of VITA. The publication supports women in media and public relations through a roster of female freelance writers and by nurturing positive working relationships with female public relations specialists nationwide.
"Supporting one another in our endeavours is key to our individual and collective success," explains Olivia Lovenmark, Director of Marketing at Finhaven. "The support that we receive from our networks and communities like Women in PR can determine how far we push ourselves to bring our ideas to fruition, so we need to ensure we're sharing our experiences, our wisdom, and offering encouragement at every opportunity."
The event will once again be moderated by Stuart Chase, Director of Communications at Make-A-Wish British Columbia & Yukon.
"As important as it is for women in public relations to come together, to share their stories and discuss common issues and challenges with one another, it's just as important for men to be in the same space, to listen, and understand what it will take for men and women to be equal in this, and other, industries," explains Stuart Chase, Director of Communications at Make-A-Wish British Columbia & Yukon. "Men shouldn't be afraid to listen and to advocate, and an event like the annual Women in PR soiree is a perfect, accessible avenue in which to take part in advancing the mission of this important organization."
NEW this year is the Women in PR Beauty Lounge! Blanche MacDonald artists will be providing complimentary mini makeovers for our guests. Get camera ready and have your hair, make-up and nails touched up! Photos will be taken by Amanda Webb, Owner of WebbyPics Photography and Blogger at Siyaflo.com

If you are interested in learning about branding, do not miss this event organized by Women in Public Relations.
Leading up to the event, Talia Beckett Davis, President of Canadian Women in Public Relations and Managing Director of Pink Pearl PR, will be hosting a complimentary online training, Strategies To Create A 'Brag Worthy' Personal Brand.
What's your personal brand story? Invite your audience to take a closer look at how you are relevant to them. Pull back the curtain and give your audience an inside look into what you've accomplished. Don't just tell them about it; take the time to show them. Creating a personal brand that is brag worthy doesn't mean sitting quietly in a corner, waiting for someone to ask you a question so you can explain your point of view. Building your credibility and increasing your visibility is an ongoing process.
