Due to the winter storm warning, which will make travelling difficult on Wednesday, February 13, the launch has been postponed on Wednesday, April 3.
MONTRÉAL, Feb. 11, 2019 /CNW Telbec/ - LOJIQ - Les Offices jeunesse internationaux du Québec are pleased to extend an invitation to media representatives for the launch of the Aboriginal Cultures and Languages Initiative.
On this occasion, Ms. Nadine Girault, Minister of International Relations and La Francophonie, Ms. Sylvie D'Amours, Minister Responsible for Indigenous Affairs, Mr. Konrad Sioui, Grand Chief of the Huron-Wendat Nation, and Mr. Michel Robitaille, President and CEO of LOJIQ - Les Offices jeunesse internationaux du Québec, will address those in attendance.
Natasha Kanapé-Fontaine will lead the event, which will begin with a smudge, or spiritual cleansing, ceremony and include personal stories and artistic performances.
Finally, a selection of traditional hors-d'œuvres will be served, highlighting Aboriginal culture.
