MONTREAL, June 19 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - The Medical Cannabis Access Society (MCAS) congratulates the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Sherbrooke for the support of medical cannabis, and their new policy which allows patients to use a cannabis vaporizer under certain circumstances.
"The CHUS has taken an important step for medical cannabis in Québec," said Adam Greenblatt, Executive Director of MCAS. "This policy will help reduce stigma, and allow patients to use their prescribed cannabis safely and with dignity on hospital grounds. We hope it will also encourage other Québec doctors to support their patients who use cannabis for medical purposes."
MCAS will donate a Volcano Medic vaporizer to the CHUS, which is the only medical device approved by Health Canada for the inhalation of cannabis.
MCAS is a non-profit based in Montreal which facilitates access to cannabis for medical purposes.
