OTTAWA, March 13, 2017 /CNW/ - Cannabis Canada Association, the leading organization of federally licensed medical cannabis companies, is pleased to announce the launch of Cannabis Canada 2017: A National Education Conference & Business Forum. The first Cannabis Canada 2017 conference will take place at the Shaw Centre in Ottawa, just steps from our Parliament from Friday, April 28, 2017 to Saturday April 29, 2017, followed by a conference in Winnipeg on May 5 and 6 and subsequent conferences in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Halifax, Alberta and Saskatchewan.
In 2017, Canada is on pace to become the first G-7 country in the world to legalize recreational cannabis at the federal level. This will create countless opportunities for Canadian businesses, incumbents and new entrants alike. Please join us at the Shaw Centre to take part in an engaging and informative conversation about what legal cannabis will mean for Canadians and Canadian business.
Over the two-day event in Ottawa, Cannabis Canada 2017 will feature a key note speaker and panel discussions featuring prominent Canadian figures from the cannabis industry. Topics include in-depth discussions of the possibilities of the adult-use market as well as the legalization process that lies ahead; a review of the current medical program which constitutes the worlds most advanced cannabis regulatory regime; legislative and regulatory challenges facing the cannabis industry including how to regulate cannabis on the roadways and in the workplace; a discussion of industry best practices; and general education about cannabis use, production and sale.
"The Cannabis Canada Association believes our conference will be one of the largest, most important cannabis events of 2017. With our medical program continuing to blossom and legalization legislation just around the corner, the time is now to learn about what opportunities, challenges and pathways may lie ahead. Leveraging the expertise and networks of our member companies, we will bring together one of the most comprehensive group of leaders, visionaries and experts in the cannabis industry for an information packed two-day event. We hope to see you there in Ottawa."
Cannabis Canada 2017 is open to the public and promises to be an educational event for anyone with an interest in cannabis, particularly those considering participating in the business of cannabis.
