OTTAWA, Sept. 28, 2017 /CNW/ - Cannabis Canada Association held the first meeting of the newly formed Patients Committee.
The objective of the Patients Committee, which will meet quarterly, is to provide a forum for the medical cannabis patient community to express concerns, ask questions, and provide feedback and suggestions aimed at improving the product, available information and system in Canada.
Concerns, questions, feedback and suggestions raised at Patients Committee meetings will be shared with members of Cannabis Canada Association who will in turn have the opportunity to provide information back to the Committee through the Chair.
"Launch of the Patients Committee today is an important step forward for the members of Cannabis Canada and the medical cannabis sector in Canada," said Colette Rivet, Chair of the Committee and Executive Director of Cannabis Canada Association. "This Committee will provide Health Canada Licensed Producers with input, feedback and suggestions that will help them to improve their products and practices to better serve the needs of patients going forward."
Current members of the Committee, who will serve 2 to 3 year terms, include:

- Carole Reece, Canadian Arthritis Patient Alliance
