Capstone's Subsidiary Minto Explorations Makes Contribution in Support of the
Whitehorse Food Bank
VANCOUVER, July 20 /CNW/ - Capstone Mining Corp. (CS: TSX) is pleased to report that its wholly owned subsidiary, Minto Explorations Ltd., has made a $10,000 donation to the Whitehorse Food Bank, supporting the organization's efforts to provide hope for the hungry in Whitehorse and surrounding communities. Minto Explorations owns and operates the Minto copper-gold mine, located 240km north of Whitehorse, Yukon.
Minto's donation is planned to be the beginning of a long-term commitment to the Whitehorse Food Bank, providing a predictable and stable source of income, ensuring sustainability and the opportunity for the organization to develop truly effective programming.
"Giving back to worthy causes within the communities in which we operate is very important to us," said Stephen Quin, President of Capstone and Minto. "We recognize the importance of the Food Bank and all they do for the people of Whitehorse. We encourage other local businesses to also become active partners with the Food Bank."
