Caribou Copper Resources Limited - Progress Report on Caribou Dome

OTTAWA , Oct. 8 /CNW Telbec/ - Caribou Copper Resources Ltd. (the "Corporation") (TSXV: CKR) (formerly YOW Capital Corp.) is pleased to report that as of October 5 , it had completed over 1,400 feet of surface diamond drilling under its 2009 work program on its Caribou Dome property in Alaska. This program consists of drilling approximately 3,000 feet designed to probe the extent of the mineralization in lodes 5 and 6 at depth.

The new drill program targets two areas, the first of which tests for potential eastward extension of previously encountered mineralization and the second to test an area central along the east-west tending zone, deeper in the mineralization where few historic holes have been drilled.

The Caribou Dome property is located about 160 miles north east of Anchorage and 70 miles to the west of Cantwell at an elevation of over 4,000'. Since the first snowfall of the year on September 20 , the property has received over three feet of snow. Access to theproperty comes along the Denali Highway which is not maintained by the State of Alaska from October 1 through to spring. At present, the Denaili Highway is passable but any negative change in weather in the area could affect the company's ability to complete all three intended holes this fall. Weather conditions and safety concerns are assessed on an ongoing basis and if required, a determination may be made to postpone the balance of drilling until the spring thaw which usually occurs in mid May to early June.
