Carlsberg Canada and the Toronto FC End Partnership
TORONTO, Oct. 29, 2012 /CNW/ - After six years as the official beer of the Toronto FC, Carlsberg Canada is not renewing its sponsorship agreement with the football club and its parent company Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment.
"It has been a great six years with the Toronto FC," says Nick Relph, Director of Marketing, Carlsberg Canada. "We are proud to have been at the forefront of helping fans enjoy world-class soccer from match one here in Toronto. We couldn't have been happier supporting a sport that has avid fans around the world, and to help bring Carlsberg, one of the best-known beer brands worldwide, to soccer fans in Toronto."
Carlsberg's Toronto FC sponsorship will end after the final regular season game on October 28, 2012.
"We would like to wish the Toronto FC, the team and its fans, all the best next season," says Relph.
