CARP - How to navigate the health care system

Your Health Matters, is the subject of an important and current forum being presented by CARP (Canadian Association of Retired Persons) on Thursday November 19th , from 6pm to 9pm , at The Shriners Hall, 3530 Connolly St. Halifax .

This event is a combination of educational and informational presentations and a mini-tradeshow dedicated to health matters.

It features two health experts Ian Johnson , a policy analyst/researcher with the Nova Scotia Government and the General Employees Union. He is a twenty-five year member of the Canadian Health Coalition. The second speaker is Dr. Laurie Mallery , head of the Geriatric Medicine Division at Dalhousie University and the Director of Health Care of the Elderly at the QEII Health Sciences.

The mini-tradeshow will present a sampling of the local talent and services available to enhance the quality of life and independence of 50-plusers.

The discovery of new connections and the sharing of information will assist the attendees in making informed decisions concerning their health.
