Cartoon Network Takes Over TELETOON Airwaves This April

TORONTO, March 25, 2013 /CNW/ - TELETOON viewers are in for a treat this April when the network will offer a sampling of top programming from the recently launched animation channel Cartoon Network. Viewers who have yet to tune in to this new channel will have the opportunity to check out hit Cartoon Network shows every Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET/PT in April during a special programming block that includes Cartoon Network-exclusive titles like Regular Show, Incredible Crew and MAD: The Animated Series.

Brought to Canada in July 2012, Cartoon Network offers a unique and diverse slate of entertainment experiences through hilarious animated and live-action content for kids and families. In addition to the titles above, the Cartoon Network lineup features popular shows including Ben 10: Omniverse, Dexter's Laboratory and Generator Rex.

The Cartoon Network Takeover lineup is as follows:

• Regular Show
  Airs Wednesdays in April at 7 p.m. (New Episodes) and 7:30 p.m. ET/PT
  Regular Show features best friends Mordecai (a six-foot-tall blue jay) and Rigby (a hyperactive raccoon). The two are groundskeepers at a park owned by Pops, a humanoid-looking lollipop who has spent his entire life there. The job is so deadly dull that the two friends will do anything they can to avoid it. This doesn't go over well with their boss Benson (an anthropomorphic gumball machine) — but their efforts often result in insane escapades that delight Pops.

• Incredible Crew (New Episodes)
  Airs Wednesdays in April at 8 p.m. ET/PT
  Incredible Crew is a half-hour sketch comedy series from producer and entertainer Nick Cannon. Every episode of this high-energy, fast-paced show delivers hilarious comedy bits, outrageous hidden camera pranks, original music videos and commercial parodies all with a distinct attitude - a contemporary blend of internet sensibility mixed with kid imagination.

• MAD: The Animated Series (New Episodes)
  Airs Wednesdays in April at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT
  An animated sketch-comedy series from Warner Bros. Animation and inspired by the iconic MAD magazine, a twisted mix of humor and animation styles pulls back the curtain and exposes the sordid truth behind movies, TV shows, games and - of course - curtains! Classic MAD icons are featured, as well as a barrage of pop culture parodies and punch lines.
