TORONTO, March 14, 2014 /CNW/ - CTV's original drama MOTIVE climbed to a series-high overnight audience of 1.3 million viewers last night, ranking #1 in its competitive 10 p.m. timeslot with total viewers and in the key A18-49 demo. Up against established hits SCANDAL and ELEMENTARY, for the first time MOTIVE led Global's ELEMENTARY (1.1 million) by 10%. Last night's episode of MOTIVE also saw a double-digit increase from its premiere last Thursday. With growth throughout the hour, more than 3 million Canadians watched some or all of the episode.
Overall, CTV had a strong Thursday night claiming the Top 4 programs among total viewers with THE BIG BANG THEORY (3.4 million), GREY'S ANATOMY (1.9 million), TWO AND A HALF MEN (1.8 million), and MOTIVE (1.3 million), more than tripling Global's primetime audience.
Viewers can watch last night's episode of MOTIVE featuring guest stars Jennifer Beals (Flashdance, THE L WORD) and Martin Donovan (HOMELAND, BOSS), on demand at CTV.ca and the CTV GO App.

Detectives Angie Flynn (Kristin Lehman) and Oscar Vega (Louis Ferreira) learn about the victim and her secret lover, but things soon become more complex, leading to an unlikely killer with an unexpected motive.
