Cassels Brock Continues Strategic Expansion
TORONTO, Sept. 29, 2014 /CNW/ - Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP is pleased to announce the addition of two leading practitioners in key areas of strategic growth – Restructuring & Insolvency and Competition & Antitrust.
The firm welcomes prominent partner Steven Dvorak to its Vancouver office, while leading litigator David Wingfield joins the firm in Toronto.
Steven Dvorak brings over 20 years of experience in insolvency and related commercial litigation, adding a strong BC presence to the firm's Restructuring & Insolvency Group. Steven's practice focuses on commercial restructuring, receiverships and bankruptcy proceedings, and he has been involved in a number of significant matters under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act.
David Wingfield is well-recognized as one of Canada's leading commercial litigators. He joins Cassels Brock after spending three years with the Federal Department of Justice as Senior General Counsel and as Executive Director, responsible for legal services to the Competition Bureau and for the enforcement of the Competition Act. In addition to his Canadian practice, David practises internationally from Fountain Court Chambers in London, England.
