Cassels Brock Partners Signe Leisk and Ted Frankel Honoured as Lexpert Rising Stars

TORONTO, Nov. 5, 2013 /CNW/ - Signe Leisk and Ted Frankel were honoured last night at a gala reception for the 2013 Lexpert Rising Stars: Leading Lawyers Under 40 award recipients.

Signe was selected based on her work as a leading municipal lawyer who has structured and executed significant development deals that will permanently enhance the landscapes in Toronto and other municipalities. She was also recognized for her substantial civic contributions and participation in various firm committees and initiatives, including her role as past chair of the Women's Practice Development Committee and as a member of the firm's Executive Committee.

Ted was selected based on his track record of success in his litigation practice, along with his professionalism and civility, both inside and out of the courtroom. He was also recognized for his ongoing support of pro bono initiatives within the firm and the community, most notably his work with Pro Bono Law Ontario, where he has assisted more than 100 litigants priced out of access to justice.

The 2013 Lexpert Rising Star: Leading Lawyers Under 40 awards were held to pay tribute to the rising stars and future leaders of the Canadian legal community.
