Cassels Brock Welcomes Nicola Geary, Strengthening its Private Equity and M&A Practice

TORONTO, Oct. 18, 2016 /CNW/ - Cassels Brock is pleased to announce that Nicola Geary is joining the firm as a partner in its Toronto office. Nicola joins an experienced team dedicated to delivering exceptional, cost-effective advice to a wide-range of domestic and international clients including private equity funds and public and private companies in sectors such as technology and infrastructure.

A strategic advisor, Nicola's practice focuses on mergers & acquisitions and regulatory compliance with a particular focus on private equity and venture capital transactions and complex M&A and tax-driven reorganizations. She brings valuable expertise in the formation of private equity funds as well as experience in advising funds making downstream investments.

Nicola was called to the Ontario Bar in 2004 and the New York State Bar in 2001. She qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2003. Prior to joining Cassels Brock, Nicola practised as a solicitor in the area of private equity in London, UK and in the Toronto office of another national law firm.
