Cavalia comes home to Quebec - BDC is proud to support the company in its
development
MONTREAL, July 21 /CNW Telbec/ - After putting on over 1,500 shows in major cities across North America and Europe and being seen by almost 2.5 million people, Cavalia has come home. The production has set up its big top on Montreal's South Shore and will present a new series of shows starting tonight. As its financial partner, the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) is proud to welcome back to Quebec one of the largest touring shows in the world, and one of Quebec's greatest business success stories in the field of the performing arts.
Obviously one of the keys to Cavalia's success is the quality of the show it puts on, but as a business, other important ingredients include strong management and the support of solid partners.
For Normand Latourelle, Cavalia's president and artistic director, this is especially true for an organization that does not operate in a traditional market. "With BDC's support, Cavalia will be able to maximize its development and press ahead in its exploration of the intermingling of the performing arts and equestrian disciplines. We have ambitious plans for the future and thanks to this important financial partner we will be able to continue captivating audiences around the world with our one-of-a-kind productions, which are at once magical and poignant."
According to Edmée Métivier, Executive Vice President, Financing & Consulting, BDC's role is not just to provide financing when needed, it is also to help businesses continue to grow by providing highly tailored financing and consulting services. "When BDC decides to get involved, it's because we see an opportunity to support the business in its development and help it expand. Cavalia is part of a constellation of Quebec companies whose creativity is recognized around the world. It deserves to be supported, and we are very proud to play a part in its growth."
