BEIJING, CHINA, March 20, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Minister of International Relations and La Francophonie Christine St-Pierre, President of the Quebec-based entertainment company Cavalia Inc. Normand Latourelle, and President of the Chinese investment firm Sinocap Dr. Chan Chak Shing highlighted the imminent opening of Cavalia today by paying a visit to the show's horses at an equestrian farm 44 km from Beijing.
Cavalia's Beijing run debuts April 28. The tour's White Big Top will be erected in Chaoyang Park in the heart of the city. Tickets are already on sale on the Damai.cn platform.
"In a few short weeks, the Chinese will have the chance to discover the fascinating Cavalia universe, a jewel of Quebec culture," said St-Pierre. "We owe the image and credibility Quebec enjoys around the world today to our diplomatic and political efforts, of course, but also to the diligent work of our creators, artists and enterprises. Our province has every reason to celebrate Cavalia's breakthrough into one of the world's largest markets, where it will captivate thousands of international spectators."
Cavalia's presentation in Beijing follows the signing of an agreement between Cavalia Inc. and Sinocap. This new partnership covers the operation and commercialization of Cavalia, the company's original, eponymous production. "We are extremely pleased to be partnering with Sinocap, a solid, well-established company in China," declared Latourelle. "The agreement will help Cavalia Inc. expand and consolidate its position in China, a key market for touring shows."
Cavalia Inc. also operates a second production, Odysseo, which debuted in 2011 in Montreal and continues its North American tour in Irvine, near Los Angeles, California.
