What if replicating the daily activities of a Paleolithic hunter-gatherer could boost fitness levels more than a typical gym workout? Proponents of primal fitness believe that physical activities such as running, lifting, climbing, balancing and throwing are rooted in our genetic history, and say that modern exercise routines should therefore mimic activity patterns that existed in our Paleolithic past.
