CAW Reaches Deal With St. Marys Cement
BOWMANVILLE, ON and TORONTO, July 27 /CNW/ - The CAW has reached a tentative agreement with St. Marys Cement after a five month long strike at the Bowmanville facility over pensions and a number of other concessions.
The tentative agreement is subject to ratification by the 87 CAW Local 222 members and voting will take place on Thursday, July 29.
Details of the agreement will be released following ratification.
St. Marys Cement is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Brazilian company Votorantim Cimentos.
