ELORA, ON, April 26, 2017 /CNW/ - CB Guelph Wellington Dufferin partner Tom Blonde has been appointed to the AcSB's Agriculture Advisory Group (AAG). The AcSB is an independent body with the authority to establish accounting standards for use by all Canadian entities outside the public sector. The AcSB serves the public interest by establishing standards for financial reporting by all Canadian private sector entities and by contributing to the development of internationally accepted financial reporting standards.
"In this new role, I will work with the AAG to develop new private enterprise accounting guidelines for biological assets and agricultural produce inventory," Tom Blonde explained. "This will give my clients and CB in general direct involvement in the development of these guidelines, which will help ensure that they meet the needs of our clients and other stakeholders, without being unnecessarily onerous."
If you are interested in providing input on these new standards, please contact Tom directly.
