CCS' Founder Dave Werklund Hands Over the Reins to New Leadership
CALGARY, July 15 /CNW/ - CCS Corporation will mark another chapter in its 25-year history when Founder and Chairman of the Board Dave Werklund, hands over the reins to incoming President and CEO John Gibson. Embracing its western heritage and entrepreneurial spirit, the ceremony will take place at CCS' Stampede Breakfast complete with a gunslinger show.
"I am excited about John joining the CCS team," said Dave Werklund, Founder and Chairman of the Board. "John has more than 25 years of experience leading organizations in the global energy industry. He was President of Halliburton Energy Services, and, most recently, President and Chief Executive Officer for Paradigm, a software solutions provider to the oil and gas industry.
"With his industry experience, customer focus, leadership style and people-first approach to business, John will be able to take our company to new levels of success. His unique background as a customer and service provider brings a multi-dimensional perspective to our business. In my role as Chairman, I look forward to working closely with John and playing an active role in the continued growth of the company I started more than 25 years ago."
John is equally excited about the opportunities ahead for CCS and the chance to work closely with Dave Werklund.

John Gibson has more than 25 years of experience leading organizations in the global energy industry. He spent the first third of his career as an Exploration and Production customer working for Chevron. John spent the next third of his career as an oilfield service provider. Most notably, John was President of Halliburton Energy Services, one of the world's largest oilfield service providers with 30,000+ employees and operations in more than 70 countries. In addition to John's oilfield experience, his background in technology integration will be a valuable asset for CCS Corporation. Most recently, he was President and Chief Executive Officer for Paradigm, a software solutions provider that creates digital models of the earth's subsurface to enable customers to make intelligent and responsible exploration, production and engineering decisions.
