CD Capital to be Rebranded as Capital Developments

Leading Canadian Development Firm, Headed by Todd Cowan and Jordan Dermer, Announces Rebranding Strategy

TORONTO, June 16, 2015 /CNW/ - CD Capital Developments, a leading Canadian real estate development company founded in 2007, today announced that as part of a corporate rebranding strategy, the company has officially changed its name to Capital Developments. 

Co-founders Todd Cowan and Jordan Dermer established their development firm shortly after returning to Canada from a ten-year engagement in Europe, where they played an integral role in establishing and operating TriGranit Development Corporation on behalf of Peter Munk.  At the time, TriGranit was the leading real estate development company in Central and Eastern Europe, specializing in mixed-use developments.

Since returning to Canada and founding the firm now known as Capital Developments, the partners have been focused on unique residential, commercial and office real estate opportunities in Toronto and Montreal.  In these markets, Capital Developments currently has seven significant projects under development, including over 2,000 residential condominium suites, prominent urban retail projects and Class A office development sites.  The company's condominium projects include the Art Shoppe Lofts + Condos – which features a collaboration with global fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld – and 150 & 155 Redpath, which will reshape the skyline all in the heart of midtown Toronto's Yonge and Eglinton neighbourhood.

As a private company, Capital Developments finances its projects through co-investment with prominent Canadian financiers and investors who share the company's vision of developing industry leading projects and fostering meaningful long term relationships.
