MONTREAL, Feb. 6, 2019 /CNW Telbec/ - CEDEC and Place aux jeunes en région (PAJR) announced a new partnership to support entrepreneurs to build and expand businesses and generate economic development in the regions of Quebec. This announcement took place in Montreal as part of the Semaine des régions organized by PAJR.
"CEDEC is pleased to directly enhance the efforts of Place aux jeunes en région to increase business development among youth across Quebec," said John Buck, President and CEO of CEDEC. "Thanks to our growing network of partners including service providers, the education sector, and funders within the public and private sectors, CEDEC's team of business advisors are able to provide customized support and referrals to help businesses grow."
"While there is a lot of talk about a labour shortage, the business world is also facing a major problem in terms of entrepreneurial succession. Currently, companies are closing their doors because nobody is there to ensure continuity and this problem is increasing," said Luc Dastous, President of Place aux jeunes en région.
From startup to scale-up, CEDEC's accredited business advisors provide a customized approach for each of its clients and systematically follow their progress through the Growthwheel® platform. In partnership with PAJR, CEDEC will work with youth entrepreneurs to validate and develop their business ideas as part of their migration strategy to a region. This support will prepare potential entrepreneurs to successfully interact with the business services continuum in their new community.
Promoting the migration, establishment and maintenance of young graduates aged 18 to 35 in the region, PAJR is the Quebec reference for youth migration. www.placeauxjeunes.qc.ca
