Open media policy in effect at all Best Buy stores in Canada for Boxing Day

TORONTO , Dec. 26 /CNW/ - Best Buy Canada is preparing for Boxing Day, Canada's Busiest Shopping Day and will be opening its doors to Canadian shoppers for some of the lowest prices of the 2009 season. Best Buy will offer customers unbelievable Boxing Day pricing on this year's hottest products including: flat-panel TV's, Blu-ray players, laptops, computers, accessories, digital cameras, MP3 players and hundreds of consumer electronics and entertainment products.

Open media policy will be in effect at all Best Buy stores for Boxing Day. Prior approval from head office is not required for media visiting Best Buy stores on December 26th for Boxing Day.

    
    When:     Boxing Day - December 26, 2009

              British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario
              stores will all open at 6am local time
              Gatineau store will open at 10am local time
              Quebec stores will open at 1pm local time

              December 27, 2009

              Nova Scotia store will open at 6am local time

    Where:    All Best Buy locations in British Columbia, Alberta,
              Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia (exact
              addresses and maps are available at www.BestBuy.ca)

    Opportunities:

    -   Media including TV crews, reporters and photographers are welcome to
        visit a Best Buy location in their city.
    -   Prior approval from head office is not required on December 24th or
        Boxing Day.
    -   Customers are expected to line-up for hot Boxing Day door crashers
        and some of this year's lowest prices on consumer electronics.
    -   Store managers may be available for comment.
    -   Best Buy spokespeople will also be available for comment via
        telephone.
