As the anticipation and excitement for Boxing Day grows, Best Buy has some tips to help make this annual tradition a memorable occasion.
- Before heading out, remember to check out your Best Buy flyer for a listing of doorcrasher specials and the hottest deals. - Dress appropriately and plan ahead so you can stay comfortable. Long lines form outside, so dress warmly. - Arrive early if you want doorcrasher specials. Many dedicated Boxing Day shoppers eat Christmas dinner and then come straight to the store to lineup. - Be patient, stay cool. There are lots of crowds, so remember, it's the holiday season. Be kind to others and safety first! - Pack convenient snacks; little pick-me-ups can keep you going without having to slow down at the jam-packed food court. - Know exactly what you're coming in for (brand, model, size and color) then let our Blue Shirts help you find all the right accessories and Geek Squad services. When: Boxing Day - December 26, 2009 British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario stores will all open at 6am local time Gatineau store will open 10am local time Quebec stores will open at 1pm local time December 27, 2009 Nova Scotia store will open at 6am local time Where: All Best Buy locations in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia (exact addresses and maps are available at www.BestBuy.ca) Opportunities: - Media including TV crews, reporters and photographers are welcome to visit a Best Buy location in their city. - Prior approval from head office is not required on December 24th or Boxing Day. - Customers are expected to line-up for hot Boxing Day door crashers and some of this year's lowest prices on consumer electronics. - Store managers may be available for comment. - Best Buy spokespeople will also be available for comment via telephone.
