Célébration 2024 Gala - On the eve of his birthday, Outaouais resident Roland Charette wins $1,000,000! Français
MONTRÉAL, Jan. 7, 2024 /CNW/ - Gatineau resident Roland Charette took home $1,000,000 during the televised Célébration 2024 Gala, which aired Sunday, January 7 on TVA.
Charette was one of 41 residents from various parts of Québec who were in the draw for finalists. He received the scratch ticket as a gift and plans to travel to Paris with his son and buy a house.
"I'll remember this forever. It was very emotional!" said the lucky winner after winning the top prize.
The winning ticket was purchased at the PJC – Jean Coutu pharmacy located at 381 Boulevard Maloney Est in Gatineau.
As for the other two finalists—France Lavallée from Saint-Ambroise-de-Kildare and Jean-Félix L. Ferland from Crabtree—they each took home $100,000. The other entrants won at least $25,000.
Once again this year, winners of an entry for the televised draw had the pleasure of attending the Célébration Gala at the Théâtre du Casino du Lac-Leamy in Gatineau. Véronic DiCaire, Gregory Charles and Sébastien Benoit were back as hosts of the gala, which featured musical artists Ginette Reno, Pierre Lapointe, Guylaine Tanguay, 2Frères, Gabrielle Destroismaisons, Barnev Valsaint, Dawn Cumberbatch and Sophie Grenier and dance artists DM Nation.
Several other prizes, such as a $5,000,000 grand prize and five prizes of $1,000,000, were also drawn among ticket holders at home. Players can check the winning numbers on the Célébration 2024 page of lotoquebec.com.
