Centennial College graduate George Tsioutsioulas impresses at Hot Docs
TORONTO, April 30 /CNW/ - Centennial College proudly recognizes and congratulates alumnus George Tsioutsioulas for his outstanding directorial achievements at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival.
With two sold-out screenings, a plethora of public and media attention and very positive early reviews, his film The Story of Furious Pete has been named one of the top five films to watch by Toronto Life magazine and is topping many must-see festival lists.
The Story of Furious Pete chronicles the life of Peter Czerwinski, who at the age of 16 was hospitalized and nearly died as a result of anorexia. Now, seven years later, he is a worldwide champion in the sport of competitive eating.
Tsioutsioulas, a graduate of Centennial College's broadcasting and film program, and a well-known Canadian television producer, host and celebrity interviewer, credits much of his success to his studies at Centennial College.
Hot Docs is North America's largest documentary film festival, conference and market. From April 29 to May 9, Hot Docs will present an outstanding selection of 170+ documentaries from Canada and around the world to Toronto audiences and international delegates.
