Centraide Receives an Early Christmas Gift from the Hewitt Group!
MONTREAL, Dec. 22 /CNW Telbec/ - For the 15th year in a row, staff from Hewitt Equipment Limited and its affiliated companies Hewitt Material Handling, Hewitt Rentals Inc., Montréal Hydraulique 04 Inc, and Atlantic Tractors & Equipment Limited came together during this holiday season to answer the call of people in need and contribute to the well-being of communities across Quebec, Ontario and the Maritimes. The official unveiling of the 2010 Centraide/United Way campaign results took place during the traditional Christmas Centraide lunch at our corporate headquarters in Pointe-Claire in the presence of hundreds of employees. The total amount of donations topped an impressive $375,523.50. Now there's a wonderful Christmas present!
Aside from the regular donations obtained via the excellent work of our solicitors, many activities such as the traditional and very popular denim-Fridays, the half and half draw and Canadiens hockey tickets helped raise a significant amount of additional funds. Employees of the Hewitt Group are devoted and creative when it comes to giving back to the community and many staff members raised funds by selling baked goods, fresh coffee and even hugs.
Employees gave from the heart and again this year Jim Hewitt, President of Hewitt Equipment Limited, agreed to match each and every donation made by the employees. Hewitt Equipment Limited is very proud to have greatly contributed to the 2010 Centraide/United Way Campaign.
