L'ÎLE-DES-SŒURS, QC, Nov. 5, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - The Greater Montréal Real Estate Board (GMREB) has just released its most recent residential real estate market statistics for the Montréal Census Metropolitan Area (CMA), based on the real estate brokers' Centris® provincial database. In total, 2,860 residential sales were concluded in October 2015, a 9 per cent increase compared to October of last year. "It's important to point out that October's data show that the supply of properties for sale in the Montréal area decreased for the first time in just over five years," noted Sylvain Girard, Vice-President of the GMREB Board of Directors. The 33,014 properties listed on the Centris® system in October represent a 1 per cent decrease compared to the same month last year and the first drop in five years.
