CALGARY, Sept. 17 /CNW/ - Cequence Energy Ltd. ("Cequence") (TSX: CQE) is pleased to announce that it has completed the issuance and sale of an aggregate of 2,500,050 common shares at a price of $2.10 per share to a syndicate of underwriters led by FirstEnergy Capital Corp. and Peters & Co. Limited and including Cormark Securities Inc., Mackie Research Capital Corporation, Macquarie Capital Markets Canada Ltd. and National Bank Financial Inc. (collectively, the "Underwriters") for gross proceeds of approximately $5.25 million. The common shares were issued on the exercise of an over-allotment option which was granted under the terms of an underwriting agreement between Cequence and the Underwriters dated July 28, 2010. The net proceeds from the issue and sale of the common shares will be initially applied to reduce Cequence's indebtedness under its credit facilities.
