Weekly Girls Night shopping event and Lounge hosted every Thursday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. rewards shoppers while giving back to the community
TORONTO, March 31, 2016 /CNW/ - Every Thursday night in April, CF Fairview Mall shoppers will have the opportunity to experience an exclusive Girls Night Shopping Event featuring fashion, beauty and cuisine, all available at the shopping centre. Customers who spend a minimum $100 at select CF Fairview Mall stores every Thursday evening in April from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. will receive a custom reusable shopping bag granting exclusive access to a private Girls Night Lounge, including special promotions and services courtesy of participating retailers. Following the Girls Night Lounge experience, entrants will also be encouraged to fill and return the shopping bag with gently used clothing in support of the One More Wear Foundation in exchange for a $10 CF SHOP! card®.*
"Girls Night at CF Fairview Mall provides customers a special opportunity to come together with their family and friends to experience and indulge in our diverse premium retail and service offerings," said Kelly Vieira, General Manager, CF Fairview Mall. "We've created an exclusive Lounge to thank our customers for their patronage while giving shoppers a place to relax and be pampered."
Exclusive Girls Night Lounge and Shopping Event
Beginning April 7th, the Girls Night Lounge will be open every Thursday in April from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. The custom built Girls Night Lounge will be located on the upper level of the shopping centre near Sears. From delicious food and beverage sampling, to beauty services, to the latest in personal fashion and style, the Girls Night Lounge will offer an exciting array of complimentary services from 30 retailers throughout the month.
Entry to the Girls Night Lounge will be permitted by presenting the reusable Girls Night Shopping Bags available at over 36 participating retailers. Shopping Bags will be distributed directly by the partnering store with a minimum $100 purchase or can be collected at Guest Services by Entrance 4, with proof of purchase. A full list of participating retailers is available here.
Giving Back
As an extension of the Girls Night shopping experience, CF Fairview Mall has partnered with Toronto-based charity The One More Wear Foundation, a youth inspired and youth-run non-profit organization which looks to improve the lives of GTA young men and women by providing accessible clothing for employment and enjoyment, to collect donations to support local communities in need of clothing. In addition to serving as a pass into the Girls Night Lounge, shoppers will be encouraged to take the reusable Shopping Bag home to fill with gently used clothing for redistribution. By providing quality clothing to youth in need, The One More Wear Foundation is enhancing the opportunities available to them, delivering the confidence to pursue their life's goals – academic, social, career-driven, and otherwise.
"We introduced this charity six years ago because we wanted to provide GTA youth in need with stylish and professional clothing to help boost their confidence and assist in professional and personal advancement," said Jason Miller, Founder, The One More Wear Foundation. "We are extremely thankful for partners like CF Fairview Mall for supporting our mission to empower young people and the Girls Night initiative is an excellent way to extend our reach while collecting much-needed apparel to support our programming."
Gently used men and women's clothing including pants, dresses, shirts, sweaters, shoes, bags, and belts will be collected throughout the month of April. Donations will be accepted every Thursday evening at the Girls Night Lounge or at Guest Services by Entrance 4 during non-event hours. Customers that return the Shopping Bag with a donation will be eligible to receive a $10 CF SHOP! card as a gift for contributing.
"Partnering with the One More Wear Foundation is a natural fit for Cadillac Fairview as we share the same passion for supporting local youth programming and initiatives," said Vieira. "We are pleased to be able engage the community to offer their support by collecting donations at CF Fairview Mall throughout the month of April."
