CF Toronto Eaton Centre Raises Raptors Flag to Celebrate Iconic Moment in Canadian Sports History
Raptors' Superfan Nav Bhatia and Toronto Maple Leafs' Mitch Marner to raise flag
TORONTO, May 30, 2019 /CNW/ - As the landmark shopping centre in the heart of downtown Toronto, CF Toronto Eaton Centre is proud to celebrate the Toronto Raptors' first-ever appearance in the NBA Championships. The centre is hosting a special "We the North" flag raising ceremony on Thursday, May 30 at 1:30pm, featuring two famed Toronto celebrities, Raptors' Superfan Nav Bhatia and Toronto Maple Leafs' Mitch Marner.
To help electrify the crowd ahead of the biggest game in Raptors history, exciting activations will be taking place in the centre for Game 1. A live DJ will be on-site hyping up visitors throughout the day and guests are invited to show their Raptors pride and send their well wishes to the team by signing a giant card located in the mall.
Two emerging local artists Javid Jah and Moises Frank, better known as Luvsumone, have been commissioned to create massive murals celebrating the Toronto Raptors for photo moments at the centre. Two live art installations will take place outside of CF Toronto Eaton Centre starting at the Dundas Street entrance at noon and later on outside of the centre's Queen Street entrance.
