CFA Society Toronto Announces the Finalists for 2018 Annual Financial Journalism Awards
TORONTO, Feb. 22, 2018 /CNW/ - The results are in! CFA Society Toronto is pleased to announce the finalists for the 2018 Financial Journalism Awards. The finalists for each award category are:

Finalists for the Journalist of the Year are:
- Simon Doyle, Advisor's Edge;
- Andreo Calonzo, Bloomberg; and
- James Layton, Investment Executive.
Finalists for The Spirit of the Future of Finance Award are:
- The New Kids on the Infrastructure Block by Martha Porado, Benefits Canada;
- Variety is Spice of Canada's Record 2017 Corporate-Bond Sales by Allison McNeely and Maciej Onoszko, Bloomberg; and
- TFSA vs RRSP: How Seniors can use TFSA's to Have More Retirement by Jonathan Chevreau, MoneySense Magazine.
The Financial Journalism Awards recognizes the contributions of various Canadian based publications and journalists in helping consumers and advisors gain a better understanding of the investment profession.
The winners for each award category will be announced at the awards reception on 21 March 2018. The event will also see the premiere of the Society's 2018/2019 Media Contact Directory, a valuable resource for media looking for expert commentary on a number of financial subject matters.
