CFA Society Toronto Financial Journalism Awards recognize the contributions of various Ontario and Canadian based publications and journalists whose work helps consumers and advisors to gain a better understanding of the investment profession.
This year there are three categories for the press awards: Publication of the Year, Journalist of the Year, and the Spirit of the Future of Finance. The Spirit of the Future of Finance is a new award category launched in support of the Future of Finance, a global effort initiated by CFA Institute to shape a trustworthy, forward-thinking financial industry that better serves society.
Finalists for the Publication of the Year are:
National Post;
Canadian Business; and
MoneySense magazine.
Finalists for the Journalist of the Year are:

Drew Hassellback of National Post; and
Barbara Shecter of National Post.
Each reporter in this category is commended for their commitment to investor education, best practice, ethics and high professional standards.
Finalists for The Spirit of the Future of Finance Award are:
David Hodges, MoneySense magazine for his article, "The RRSP Advantage";
Claire Brownell, National Post for her article, "You're Talking about How Many Millions?"; and
