CFA Society Toronto invites submissions for the 2014 Financial Journalism Awards - Deadline 30 June 2014
TORONTO, June 23, 2014 /CNW/ - CFA Society Toronto has created a set of journalist awards recognizing the contributions of different Canadian based publications and journalists towards advancement of investor education, best practice and the promotion of ethics and high professional standards within the financial community.
This award will identify and reward publications and journalists whose work helps consumers and practitioners gain a better understanding of the investment profession. In order to win submissions need to be explanatory, relevant, easy to read and backed up by data and fact.
"These awards were not only established to recognize those journalists who share the values and ethics put forth by CFA Institute and CFA Society Toronto but to encourage and ensure the continued education of investors and capital markets participants through the various media channels." said CFA Society Toronto Board member Ron Schwartz, CFA, Member Communications Chair.
Awards will be presented at the annual CFA Society Toronto Media Contact Directory launch in fall 2014.
Qualifying publications will be asked to submit three articles from the past 12 months that best demonstrate their commitment to investor education, ethics and high professional standards to [email protected] before end of day June 30, 2014.
Journalists who pen the top three scoring articles will be added to the shortlist as finalists for the Journalist of the Year Award and will be asked to submit three articles they felt best demonstrated their commitment to investor education, best practice, ethics and high professional standards.
