CFA Society Toronto invites submissions for the 2017 Financial Journalism Awards - Deadline 30 September 2016
TORONTO, Aug. 17, 2016 /CNW/ - CFA Society Toronto has created a set of journalist awards recognizing the contributions of different Canadian based publications and journalists towards advancement of investor education, best practice and the promotion of ethics and high professional standards within the financial community.
These awards will identify and reward publications and journalists whose work helps consumers and practitioners gain a better understanding of the investment profession. In order to win, submissions need to be explanatory, relevant, easy to read and backed up by data and fact.
"These awards exist to acknowledge those financial journalists who show a true commitment to high professional standards. We hope to identify and recognize those individuals who have made the greatest journalistic contributions to improving transparency, strengthening investor education and supporting CFA Institute's efforts to shape a trustworthy, forward-thinking financial industry that better serves society," said Devin Crago, CFA, Member Communications Chair.
Awards will be presented at the annual CFA Society Toronto Media Contact Directory launch in January 2017.
Qualifying publications will be asked to submit three articles from the past 12 months that best demonstrate their commitment to investor education, ethics and high professional standards to [email protected] before 5PM EST on 30 September 2016.
Journalists who pen the top three scoring articles will be added to the shortlist as finalists for the Journalist of the Year Award and will be asked to submit three articles they felt best demonstrated their commitment to investor education, best practice, ethics and high professional standards.
