WINNIPEG, Dec. 2, 2013 /CNW/ - The Canadian Foundation for Economic Education (CFEE) and its President Gary Rabbior are pleased to congratulate Investors Group on winning the Investor Education Award, sponsored by the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC). The award, for Money and Youth - A Financial Literacy Guide for Youth, was presented during the Morningstar Canadian Investment Awards Gala held at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto.
CFEE and Investors Group have proudly partnered on Money and Youth since the initiative began in 1997.
"For over 15 years, we have been promoting and encouraging financial education through the Money and Youth program," said Gary Rabbior, President, CFEE. "We congratulate Investors Group on winning this prestigious award and look forward to our continued partnership that supports financial education for youth."
The book Money and Youth, and its companion website, are provided at no charge to teachers to use with their students in any of the high school grades. The book has been used in school programs around the world, translated into a number of different languages and been made available free to parents, guardians, and youth. Over 300,000 copies of Money and Youth have been distributed since its first edition over 15 years ago.

IFIC established the Investor Education Award in 2006 as part of its commitment to financial literacy.
