C.F.G. Heward Investment Management changes name to Heward Investment Management

Name change reflects evolution of established firm as it prepares for the future

MONTREAL, April 2, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - C.F.G. Heward Investment Management Ltd., a discretionary portfolio management firm focused on global securities, today announced that it has changed its name to Heward Investment Management Inc., effective immediately (names of the firm's pooled funds will also be changed to reflect the new corporate identity).

This name change reflects the evolution of this venerable firm and its measured succession. Chilion Heward will continue his duties as Chairman while his son, James Heward, President, continues to take full responsibility of all aspect of the business.

The Heward family has been closely associated with Montreal's investment management community for nearly 90 years. In 1925, Brian Heward and Newbold Jones co-founded Jones Heward. Founded in 1981 by Chilion Heward (Brian Heward's son), Heward Investment Management is one of the few independent discretionary portfolio management firms in Canada. Heward Investment Management has grown steadily thanks to its strict adherence to the fundamental objectives of protecting and increasing its clients' wealth.

Today, Heward Investment Management is embarking upon a new era of diversification and growth. Under the direction of Geoffrey Heward, Senior Vice President, the firm has expanded its services to cater to investment advisors and institutional clients. The investment management team, led by CIO Willem Hanskamp and portfolio managers Maurice Conti and Renato Anzovino, will ensure that the trusted management of clients' portfolios remains the firm's central focus. Ronald Samo will also continue in his key role as CFO and CCO.
