Interactive forum created by CFIB will help MPs appreciate small business realities
TORONTO, June 14, 2016 /CNW/ - The Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) is thrilled to join members from all three major political parties as they bring back the Entrepreneur Caucus.
"We are excited to see that all of the major parties are putting partisan considerations aside to help Canada's entrepreneurs thrive," said Dan Kelly, CFIB president. "The previous version of the caucus produced some constructive ideas on succession, taxes and red tape. The Entrepreneur Caucus is a terrific platform and CFIB is proud to be an integral part of it once again."
CFIB was the first organization to recommend the creation of an entrepreneur caucus in 2012-2013 and is pleased to see parliamentarians bring it back for the current session. The all-party caucus will be co-chaired by Gord Johns (NDP), Dean Allison (Conservative) and Ruby Sahota (Liberal).
"We look forward to working with parliamentarians on the issues that matter most to small business owners when the caucus holds its inaugural meeting this fall," added Kelly.
CFIB is Canada's largest association of small- and medium-sized businesses with 109,000 members across every sector and region.
